Chief Physicist - Radiation Oncology

JOB SUMMARY
  • Under indirect supervision, provides professional medical physics services for Radiation Oncology in accordance with the highest standards of practice and as required by regulatory agencies. Collaborates with medical providers in the design, evaluation and modification of effective radiation treatments for patients; oversees and monitors treatment plans developed by dosimetrists, participates in the evaluation, acquisition and operation of equipment or systems to include equipment monitoring, calibration, and safety surveys. Supervises staff physicists and dosimetrists.


Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Master's Degree in Medical Physics (Required)
  • Doctorate Degree in Medical Physics (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 6 - 7 years Clinical Radiation Oncology (Required)
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES
  • Required Certifications/Licensures: Certified Health Physicist (CHP)
