Essential Functions
TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT USE
- Demonstrates technical skill in using equipment appropriate for the role.
- Understands equipment operation.
- Maintains equipment in working order.
- Troubleshoots equipment problems.
- Uses technology to increase productivity.

DOCUMENTATION
- Documents and submits required information and data in a timely fashion.

MEDICAL TECHNICIAN JOB DUTIES
- Under the supervision of a qualified Medical Technologist, provides assistance to the department in accurate and timely results of tests.
- Produces accurate and timely results according to established procedures.
- Correlates and interprets test data.
- Documents work as performed and recognizes abnormal and critical results.
- Monitors the quality assurance system to include quality control.
- Works independently with little or no supervision.

- Maintains and develops professional skills and knowledge.
- Identifies strengths and development needs through self-evaluation.
- Participates in educational activities related to knowledge and professional issues.
