Senior Financial Analyst and Grant Administrator

Job Summary
This position plays a key role in support of efforts by senior and middle management to contribute to the financial health of Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital (PPMH) and Phobe Putney Health System (PPHS). It also responsible for grant administration and will assist system and hospital leadership in identifying sources of funding and to assist with the administration of grants.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in in Accounting or other Business Related Field (Required)
Master's Degree in Accounting or other Business Related Field (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
7 or more years experience in an accounting office or department, preferably to include healthcare industry exposure (Required)

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Preferred)

Essential Functions
Provide analytic support and project coordination including monthly reporting responsibilities; identification of opportunity for efficiencies, comprehensive financial modeling, creative problem solving and meeting objectives in a timely manner.
Support clinical areas in evaluating their monthly operating results, non-clinical departments with their annual budget preparation and provide other assistance as requested.
Supports corporate and departmental strategic objectives, in the areas of enhancing system capabilities and accuracy of data thorough the understanding of operational issues and their financial impact.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills while presenting and discussing findings with senior level management.
Work in a highly collaborative manner with a positive and professional disposition.
Serves as a leader and role model. Responsible for orientation of staff who will work on grant programs for community education and training.
Responsible for grant software and ensuring accuracy of data and updating information.
Provides educational programs and in-services as to the use of grant software and Phoebe grant policy.
Works on department and program related projects, evaluates outcomes, budget review and assist leaders with submitting reports as needed and required.
