Specialized Technologist - RAD & CT

JOB SUMMARY

  • Radiology technologists are responsible to perform high quality radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The technologist will conduct the procedures according to department protocols and follow established radiation safety guidelines. The technologist is responsible for performing CT scans. The technologist must be able to accurately interpret the physician scanning instructions and administer IV contrast media, prepare, and perform the scans according to established protocols. The technologist must be knowledgeable about the radiation exposure to the patient and make technical changes according to body habitus, age, and ALARA principle. The technologist provides direct patient care for all ages of patients. The technologist is to provide very good service that is to treat every patient with respect, courtesy, and explain the exam to the patient. The technologist must be able to work together with others providing a positive work environment. The technologist is responsible to provide a safe environment for the patients, fellow employees, and themselves.


Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Vocational / Technical Degree in Radiologic Technology (Required)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 0 - 1 year Working in a Radiology department in a hospital environment (Preferred)
  • 0 - 1 year CT (Preferred)

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES

  • Required Certifications/Licensures: Certified Radiography (R)(ARRT), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
