RN Simulation Learning Strategist


  • The Simulation Learning Strategist plans, develops and implements medical simulation education and training for the Phoebe Putney Health system which incorporates all campuses, service lines and departments (both clinical and non-clinical) and associated programs/partners. Provides Project Management Services and learner centered solutions for education, training and simulation activities at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Identifies and promotes education and training best practices that enhance clinical outcomes, team performance, patient safety and quality improvement efforts. Supports strategic planning, simulation team supervision, and design/development for system-wide customers. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of Phoebe. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.Working knowledge in the application of clinical IT simulations systems, IT platforms and simulator capabilities including Laerdal, Gaumard and CAE Healthcare.Implements strategic plans, leads change, and integrates capabilities across campus, service lines, departments, and teams.Working knowledge in learning and simulation science, educational research, and evidence-based development practices that ensures education needs are met through course content design and instructional delivery.
  • General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights.May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.


  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in in Nursing (Required) • Non Degree Program in TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer (Preferred) • Master's Degree in Simulation, Education, Nursing, Technology or related discipline. (Preferred)
  • 5 - 6 Years experience in healthcare (Required) • 3 - 4 years experience in simulation (Required) • 3 - 4 years healthcare education/teaching experience (Required)
  • Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Georgia, Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)• Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (Preferred)
