Essential Functions
SECURITY DUTIES
- Provide safety and security for facility.
- Patrols daily, by vehicle and on foot, all hospital buildings on campus grounds to detect, deter, or address issues.
- Responds immediately to authorized requests for access to internal offices.
- Maintains safety and security of warehouse through door checks and random vehicle and walking patrols.
- Patrols all parking lots and assists visitors; escorts, when required, by vehicle or on foot patrol.
- Keeps all Emergency Center hallways and ambulance ramp clear.
- Inspects all access points to hospital authority building and internal offices, securing them when not occupied, following department policy and procedure.
TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT USE
- Demonstrates technical skill in using equipment appropriate for role.
- Understands equipment operation.
- Maintains equipment in working order.
- Troubleshoots equipment problems.

- Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
- Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
- For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age-specific customer service skills.
- Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
