    All new registered nurses with less than one year of experience hired at our Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, North Campus and Phoebe Worth Medical Center complete a one-year residency program designed to help them transition into practice. The program improves your skills, boosts your confidence and enhances the level of care our patients receive. It emphasizes critical thinking skills, leadership and communication, and incorporates evidence-based practice, patient outcomes and professional development.

    • 12-month program to ease transition into practice
    • Classroom orientation
    • Monthly classes on a designated day each month
    • Evidence-based practice project by the completion of the program
    • Support from peers and clinical experts


    • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
    • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia
    • Less than one year of professional nursing experience

    Phoebe Worth Medical Center Designated as one of the state’s critical access hospitals, this 25-bed facility in Sylvester provides state-of-the-art health care services for the community it serves.
