Nurse Residency Program

Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™

All new registered nurses with less than one year of experience hired at all Phoebe hospitals complete a one-year nurse residency program designed to support the transition into practice.

The program helps new nurses build confidence, strengthen clinical skills, and deliver high-quality patient care while developing professionally.

Program highlights include:


  • A 12-month program focused on easing the transition into practice
  • Safety driven classroom orientation coupled with structured clinical skill training and patient care simulation
  • Monthly classes on a designated day each month
  • An evidence-based practice project completed by the end of the program
  • Ongoing support from peers and experienced clinical experts


Eligibility requirements:


  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia
  • Less than one year of professional nursing experience
