There’s more growth for me at Phoebe.

At Phoebe, learning is part of everyday work. We support your growth at every stage of your career, whether you’re building foundational skills, advancing clinically, or preparing for leadership opportunities.

Our approach to learning and development is practical, hands-on, and designed to help you move forward with confidence. You’ll find many opportunities to strengthen your skills and explore new paths, and we encourage you to grow alongside a healthcare system that continues to evolve.

Learning & Development

Learning that grows with you

Careers don’t follow a single path, and neither does learning at Phoebe. We offer development opportunities that meet you where you are in your career and help you take the next step.

Across roles and departments, learning at Phoebe supports:

  • Comprehensive, welcoming New Employee Orientation (NEO)
  • Early career development and transition into practice
  • Ongoing skill-building and clinical competency
  • Professional growth for non-clinical and business roles
  • Leadership development for those ready to take on more responsibility

No matter your role, learning here is designed to be accessible and connected to real work.

Hands-on, real-world experience

Phoebe emphasizes learning that reflects real care environments and real challenges. Training experiences are practical and grounded in how care is delivered every day.

At the center of this approach is Phoebe’s simulation and innovation capability, including a 22,000-square-foot simulation lab designed to mirror real practice settings, like the ICU, Emergency Department, Operating Room, and NICU. These environments allow participants to build confidence, strengthen critical-thinking skills, and practice decision-making in realistic scenarios.

Learning is also extended beyond the classroom through resources like the Phoebe Simulation & Innovation Mobile Unit, which supports experiential learning and community education across southwest Georgia. Together, these experiences reflect Phoebe’s commitment to workforce readiness, safety, and continuous improvement.

Supporting growth across clinical and professional roles

Learning and development opportunities at Phoebe provide team members across non-clinical and professional areas with access to resources that support skill development, career exploration, and long-term growth. This includes:

  • Role-specific training and continuing education – up to $5,200 annually in tuition assistance for eligible employees
  • Opportunities to build new skills and expand expertise
  • Exposure to different teams, functions, and career paths
  • Support for growth into leadership or specialized roles

As Phoebe grows, so do the opportunities for people who want to grow with us.

Leadership development and career advancement

Phoebe is committed to developing leaders from within. For team members interested in taking the next step, learning opportunities support important skills like leadership readiness, decision-making, and people management.

If you’re stepping into a leadership role for the first time or simply strengthening your existing leadership skills, development at Phoebe is focused on helping you lead with confidence and purpose.

This connection between learning, service, and impact is designed to demonstrate how your growth contributes to stronger teams, better care, and healthier communities.
