Cardiologist

Location

Albany, Dougherty County, Georgia; Americus, Sumter County, Georgia

Duties

As a cardiologist, employee will:

• Diagnose, treat, and provide continuous care to hospitalized patients
• Deliver and coordinate the care for heart and blood vessel conditions
• Prescribe medications
• Perform procedures
• Order and interpret the results of lab tests and radiographs

Minimum Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine degree or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited U.S. medical school (or the foreign equivalent degree)
• Completion of 3-year internal medicine residency and 3-year cardiovascular disease fellowship
• Must have an active or pending Georgia medical license
• Must have passed all parts of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) OR the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX)
• Must have certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates
• Must be board eligible in internal medicine
