As an Operations Team Lead Pharmacist, You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Providing day‑to‑day leadership of pharmacy operations.
  • Ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant preparation, distribution, and management of medications.
  • Serving as a working pharmacist while acting as a resource and operational lead for pharmacy staff.
  • Overseeing workflow coordination to maintain smooth and timely operations.
  • Maintaining adherence to regulatory, institutional, and accreditation standards.
  • Supporting quality assurance initiatives and operational improvement processes.
  • Ensuring the safe and appropriate use of medications across patient populations.
  • Managing selected drug therapies in alignment with clinical and operational guidelines.
  • Overseeing the compounding, dispensing, labeling, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
  • Participating in the education of patients, nurses, and physicians on medication safety and best practices.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Higher Degree in B.S. Pharmacy (5 year degree) or Pharm.D. (6 year degree) - Required
  • Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Related - Preferred
  • Other Degree in ASHP Accredited PGY1 or PGY2 Residency - Preferred

Work experience:

  • 1 year Hospital Pharmacy - Preferred
  • 1 year SHP Accredited Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program(s) - Preferred

Licenses, Certifications & Required Training:

  • RPH - Registered Pharmacist - Required

Pharmacy Skills Toolbox:
