JOB SUMMARY
- Performs a variety of standardized noninvasive cardiovascular tests to include Two specialties of these three adult echocardiography, pediatric echocardiography and peripheral vascular studies of upper and lower extremities and carotid arteries. Assist Physician with ultrasound guided exams. Perform studies with accuracy and precision necessary to satisfy department standards and Physician interpreters while projecting a professional image , conserving hospital property and assets and meeting competency requirements. Performs injection of bubble studies and ultrasound enhancement agents such as Optison, Definity and/or Lumason. Provides direct patient care to all age
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 2 year / Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology/ Sonography (Required) ;In lieu of an Associates Degree; a Minimum of 4 years additional relevant experience is acceptable.
- 1 - 2 years Cardiovascular Ultrasound (Required)
- Required Certifications/Licensures: Basic Life Support (BLS), Must be able to sit for ARDMS Registry in Adult Echo, Pediatric Echo or Vascular Technology
