Facility Tech II

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

● High School Diploma or GED (Required) Vocational / Technical Degree in Some vocational training related to Electrical, Mechanical, and or Building Maintenance (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

3 - 4 years Electrical repair, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Safety, Mechanical, and/or Architectural (locksmith and/or carpentry) maintenance, installation and or contracting. (Required) ● 3 - 4 years Healthcare or hospital facility maintenance setting. (Preferred)

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES

● Preferred Certifications/Licensures: Type II EPA Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification or greater

● Communication Skills ● Interpersonal Skills ● Customer Relations ● Mathematical ● Read / Comprehend Written Instructions ● Follow Verbal Instructions ● Mechanical ● Basic Computer Skills ● Must have the demonstrated ability to work with various tools and equipment typical of the trade. ● Be able to read blue prints, basic schematic, and basic wiring diagrams. ● Be able to troubleshoot basic to semi-advanced mechanical, electrical, and or plumbing problems. Must have some working knowledge of preventive maintenance and repair responsibilities related to equipment and buildings in a healthcare or similar environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

● Have near normal hearing - Hear alarms/telephone/tape recorder/normal speaking voice ● Have near normal vision - Clarity of vision (both near and far), ability to distinguish colors ● Have good - manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination ● Ability to perform - repetitive tasks/motion
