Manager - Revenue Management

JOB SUMMARY
  • The Manager of the Revenue Management department supports the Corporate Director and is responsible for ensuring staff follow policies and work standards for the optimization of revenue throughout the organization. The Manger is responsible for supporting auditing programs which include concurrent charge auditing, defense auditing, patient and business office requests, credit balance auditing, stop loss review, and risk management auditing. The Manager supervises and directs the performance of the employees in the department responsible for Emergency department facility and professional patient charging. The Manager supervises and directs the performance of the employees in the department responsible for Oncology Service Line facility and professional patient charging. The Manager must be capable of revenue analysis, staff supervision, performance management and process improvement. The Manager works closely with physicians and provides physician education. The Manager is a resource for revenue reconciliation for clinical leadership throughout the health system. Objectives are to achieve and maintain high performing revenue optimization standards and a strong system charge audit process. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of Phoebe. WORKING CONDITIONS
  • General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel.


Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • 2 year / Associate Degree in Healthcare related field (Required)4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare related field (Preferred) ;In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree; an Associate Degree and a Minimum of 4 years additional relevant experience is acceptable.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 4+ years Healthcare related field, to include implementation and maintenance of audit and reimbursement programs and development of new programs that increase facility revenue (Required)
  • 2+ years management (Required)
