Speech Pathologist

Description

JOB SUMMARY

  • Provide therapy for patients who demonstrate deficits with feeding/swallowing and communication disorders. Provide instruction/supervision of student interns. Use equipment/technology to achieve the best outcomes. Document all treatment sessions per department procedure after each encounter.


Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology (Required)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 - 3 years Diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of typical disorders including articulation, language, voice and fluency. (Preferred)
  • 2 - 3 years Knowledge of developmental norms, language acquisition, and early intervention. (Preferred)
  • 2 - 3 years Experience with a range of ages including neonates-geriatrics. (Preferred)
  • 2 - 3 years Behavioral management. (Preferred)
  • 2 - 3 years Patient/caregiver counseling. (Preferred)

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES

  • Required Certifications/Licensures: Speech Language Pathology (SLP), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathologist with current Georgia License
