Staff Chaplain

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education from an accredited ACPE education site. (Required)
  • Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology or Pastoral Counseling from an accredited seminary or equivalent theological masters from an accredited seminary (Required)
  • EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 – 2  years experience providing spiritual care in a healthcare environment. (Preferred)
  • CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES

  • Required Board Certification from one of the following:
    • The Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or
    • The Association of Certified Christian Chaplains (ACCC) or
    • Spiritual Care Association (SCA);
    • to become certified within 2 years of employment.

  • Skilled in crisis intervention and conflict resolution methodologies
  • Skilled in working independently
  • Skilled in maintaining documentation of observations and services provided.

  • Have near normal vision - Clarity of vision (both near and far), ability to distinguish colors
  • Have good - manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination
